Responsibilities

As Assistant Director of Public Sector of Training & Communications, Don Ruprecht coordinates the development of loss control messages across various media, including MSI classes, online training, websites, and safety directors bulletins. Ruprecht is the lead consultant with municipal and first responder joint insurance funds where he consults with local government representatives on all aspects of safety and loss control. He assists clients with workers’ compensation, general liability exposures, property, and motor vehicle safety concerns. In addition, he develops safety action plans and coordinates loss control services and activities and delivers safety training.

Background

Ruprecht has over 25 years of progressive experience as a safety professional. His proven abilities include the development and implementation of safety programs, OSHA compliance and the reduction of accidents and injuries. He also has more than 25 years in emergency services including fire, first aid and emergency management. He is a Level II Firefighter, Level II Fire Service Instructor and Level 300 Incident Command Instructor. He has previous experience with fire sprinkler and fire extinguisher systems.

Ruprecht is an accomplished trainer and presenter of a wide range of safety related topics, including hazard communication, safety coordinator and management skills training. Prior to joining J.A. Montgomery Consulting, he held comparable safety consulting positions and was the Proprietor of Vigilance Fire and Safety Technologies.
