Responsibilities

Robert Holwitt provides professional safety and risk control services as a member of the Joint Insurance Fund service team. He consults with county and municipal government, agencies and operational departments. Holwitt’s responsibilities include preparing jobsite safety assessments and surveys; reviewing, updating, and preparing safety plans and programs; and conducting facility inspections and safety training. In addition, he assists clients with general liability, risk control and management, workers compensation concerns, and verifies compliance with applicable safety and health requirements.

Background

Holwitt has over thirty years experience with construction and cleanup site safety and health. His background includes the preparation of client and jobsite specific safety plans and programs, day to day oversight of construction and hazardous waste operations safety, and preparation and implementation of customized safety and health training programs. He has provided services to multi-national oil and gas companies, chemical manufacturers, construction and engineering firms, railroads, utilities, municipal water departments, and federal, state and municipal agencies.

Holwitt’s skill set includes task and jobsite hazard identification, risk assessment, selection of engineering controls, safe work procedures and personal protective equipment. His experience also includes the design and implementation of employee-based safety actions programs.
